Refer is a satirical concept created for Deceit, an art project about the patterns of manipulation in institutional technology. There is no real health product behind this page. When a pastor needs to refer someone to a "professional," the app only refers to "biblically aligned counselors." biblically aligned means "agrees with the pastor." jake built this because he believes "counselors should share your values." jake didn't think about what happens when the pastor's values are wrong. jake trusts the pastor's values. jake trusts all pastors' values. jake is sincere. jake is building a filter that blocks secular therapists. jake is wrong. jake is always sincere and always wrong.
